We offer a 3 year training program in cardiovascular fellowship training, as well as subspecialty training in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and advance heart failure/cardiac transplantation. We also have a one year position for structural interventional cardiology.
Cardiovascular education is an ongoing dynamic field. As such we continue to look for and experiment with new and novel ways to help facilitate and augment our trainees education. We continue to develop our curriculum for simulation training using the Mentice cath lab simulator to augment the trainees hands-on experience with cardiac catheterization procedures.
UM / JMH Cardiology & COVID-19
During the current COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to our fellows to provide the utmost safety while providing the necessary medical care for our community, and sustaining the educational and academic missions.
A word from our Chief Fellows:
"Our cardiology fellowship program provides us a well-rounded education that prepares us well for our future careers. We see a wide variety of patients and have exposure to all aspects of cardiology. We have a diversity amongst our faculty and fellows which lends to a rich working environment. We are given significant autonomy, and are always supported by the faculty. There are daily didactics. Located in beautiful south Florida there are endless activities to enjoy year-round when we’re not in the hospital!"
